October 17, 2008, is the date for our third annual Bradbury Storytelling Festival. As in past years, the festival will be held at the historic Genesee Theater in downtown Waukegan. Our theme this year is Literary Villains and three professional storytellers will be telling stories about wicked stepmothers, Poe’s Cask of Amontillado and Mr. Dark from Something Wicked This Way Comes by Ray Bradbury.
Each year we have entertained over 600 school children at the matinee performance for only $5 a ticket. By sponsoring this event you will be assisting us in keeping this price affordable, giving Waukegan schoolchildren the opportunity to attend an event at the historic Genesee Theater and learn more about Ray Bradbury. For more information about becoming a sponsor of "The Ray Bradbury Storytelling Festival—Literary Villains” on October 17, 2008, please contact Elizabeth Stearns, Assistant Director, Community Services, at 847-623-2041 ext. 256 or by email at
